Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
The questions we get asked most, answered directly. If yours isn't here, call and ask — you'll get a straight answer either way.
Do you come to me, or do I come to you?
Both. Outcall means the therapist travels to your hotel, apartment or private address anywhere in Manhattan. Incall means you attend the location we give you. Outcall carries a higher rate, which covers travel time across the city.
If you're staying in a hotel, check whether your front desk requires visitors to sign in — telling us when you book keeps the arrival window realistic.
How do I book, and how far ahead?
Call or message with the treatment, the duration, and whether you want incall or outcall. We'll confirm the price on the call and send the address or arrival window in writing. Until you have that in writing, the booking isn't confirmed.
Same-day bookings are often possible, particularly in Midtown. Earlier in the day gives you more choice of times and therapists.
What does it cost, and are there hidden fees?
Every rate is published on our price page. Nuru starts at $360 for 30 minutes, outcall starts at $600, and four hands starts at $900. There's no arrival surcharge and no negotiation depending on who answers the phone.
Gratuity is customary at 15–20% but entirely at your discretion. Anything not agreed before the session starts is not charged and not offered.
How long is a one-hour session, really?
One hour means one hour of hands-on time. It doesn't include the consultation, the shower before, or the time you spend getting dressed afterwards. Budget roughly twenty minutes on top of the booked duration.
Longer bookings aren't priced linearly — 90 minutes usually costs less than 1.5× the 60-minute rate, because the setup is identical.
What should I do to prepare?
Shower before the session — it's a requirement, not a courtesy, since the technique depends on clean skin. Arrive sober, on time rather than early, with payment ready to settle at the start.
For outcall: have a room with a door that closes, a towel out, access to a shower, and your phone silenced and out of reach.
I've never done this before. Is that a problem?
Not at all, and it's extremely common. Say so during the consultation — it takes five seconds and it changes how the session is run for the better.
You'll be told exactly what happens before anything starts. If you want to stop any part of it, you can, at any point, without explanation.
Can I choose the therapist?
Yes — tell us when you book, and if you've had a session with someone before, say so. It's the fastest way to get a better second session.
Availability depends on the time and area you want. We'll tell you honestly what's possible rather than promising something we can't deliver.
What if I need to cancel?
Give as much notice as you can. Short-notice cancellations may carry a fee, because the slot can't be resold at that point. We apply the same standard to ourselves if we have to cancel on you.
Which areas do you cover?
Manhattan only — Midtown East and Turtle Bay, Murray Hill and Kips Bay, Chelsea and the West Village, Hell's Kitchen and Midtown West, and downtown. We don't serve boroughs outside the island, which is what keeps our arrival windows honest.
Downtown coverage is thinner than Midtown, so book earlier in the evening if that's where you are.
Is everything discreet?
Yes. Your booking details aren't discussed with anyone, and outcall therapists arrive without signage or anything that identifies what they're there for.
Reciprocally, we confirm your address and booking details in writing before we travel. That's standard practice, not suspicion.
What do you not offer?
Anything that isn't listed on the relevant service page. What's included in each treatment is stated on the service page and confirmed during the consultation, before anything begins.
If you're unsure whether something is part of a treatment, ask on the phone. You'll get a straight answer, and a no is a no.
Can I book for someone else?
No. Bookings are made by the person attending, and we don't accept bookings on behalf of someone who won't be present. This applies in both directions and it isn't negotiable.
Still unsure?
Call +1 (917) 548‑1330 and ask. Questions about what a session involves, what's included, or whether a treatment suits you are all normal things to ask on the phone — none of them are awkward, and none of them will be met with pressure to book.
